GUA TEMPURUNG : TOUR 1

It's in my backyard *just joking

About 20 minutes from my house but, never had the thought to actually go there before. Why the sudden then? Answer: Simply, anyway it's good to explore your 'backyard' sometimes, you don't know what kind of treasure you'd find *winks

I went with the whole family, mom and dad only came to show 'moral support' heh.

It's automatically decided that it's only me, Aiman (2nd sis) and Athira (3rd sis) would explore the cave :D *wuuuu genuinely exciteddddddd!

Ok, you've got to be aware that, there are 4 tours that they provided and the price differs. Taking into consideration that we aren't familiar at all so we took the first option: Tour 1, also known as Golden Flowstones, which cost RM 6 if you're Malaysian for adults and RM 2.50 for children, also Malaysian, oh yeah RM 3 for senior citizen (60 above).

SIDE INFO: 1) Tour 1 = Golden Flowstones (40 mins)
                     2) Tour 2 = Top of the World (1h 45 mins)
                     3) Tour 3 = Top of the World & Short River Adventure (2h 30 mins)
                     4) Tour 4 = Grand Tour (3h 30 mins)

You should also take note that for tour 1 and tour 2, you don't really need a guide as you can just read the signs, and it's a 'dry tour' which indicates that you're not gonna be exposed to water where else for tour 3 and tour 4, 'wet tour', you pass through the underground river.

We left the house around 10 am, it opens at 9 am until 3 pm though, so choose whichever that suits your time. No need to rush. The cave won't go anywhere :D

After buying the tickets, this is the view that welcomed us:

It says 'HELLO'

So we just headed straight into the cave, it was chilly, because there was a river. Maybe about 5 minutes into the cave, the view was breathtaking!

Everything was just so pretty. You wonder how? And it's just WOW! Anyway, when I started feeling tired, that's when I realised it's the end of TOUR 1? WHAT? Bummer, yeah, I can't tell you much about it, and it's not 40 minutes as per what the information given, it only took us about 20-25 minutes, the fact that we were taking PICTURES, that's what made it longer, oh well, maybe they thought it's 40 minutes including the selfie? Who knows.. haha

Anyway, just imagine, if Tour 1 has given us this kind of feast to the eyes, imagine what it's like to go on Tour 2  or 3 or even 4 *imagining... imagining.... It's a present from the nature to us and thus, we'd have to appreciate it. I know I did.

And so, I only conquered TOUR 1: GOLDEN FLOWSTONES. It's a small achievement but what's important is it's a happy one. The rest will come in the future? Maybe.. If I am still here heheh :)

Face that says 'I can still go on, bummer'
Face that says 'I am still happy though'

And yes, heading back home, one selfie together with the team and a picture of the stream which seems to be telling me GOODBYE DEAR, COME AGAIN *believe me, I can talk with nature

GOOD VIBES, ALWAYS

Much love, BukanNamaKau

p/s: Oh yeah, a small fact though, during the occupation, the Communist used to use this cave to held it's prisoners, I read that in their website though. If anything you can just found out just about everything on their website, am attaching the link below

Bukit Broga vs Me

You read that right, BROGA VS ME!

Guess who was the winner?? *won't tell but if you could get the gist of it by reading it, then bravaaa! pat yourself in the head lightly

It all started off at a small restaurant called 'Market Ikan Man Hattan' while eating my favourite grilled salmon with mash potato (if  you still don't know, yes, it's the Manhattan Fish Market, LOL, lame I know). So, we were having lunch, me, my sis and her housemate, Ida when it popped in my head, conversation as per below:

Me: Hey, I wanna go to Broga, let's go lah~
Sis: Sure, when, tomorrow?
Ida: Yeah sure
Me: O But, don't you guys have classes tomorrow??
Sis: S'fine, let's just skip the morning class and attend the one in the afternoon
Ida: Yeah, s'fine, sure thing
Me: *gulp OK

warning: this does not mean that I am indicating that skipping class is fine, but once in a BLUE MOooooON is okay I guess HAHAHA *evil laugh

And that's how we went all the way from Kepong to Broga the next day.

Mind you, am perfectly aware how UNFIT I am, nevertheless, the spirit in me tells me that I can do it. YEAHHOOOO.

So, we arrived in Semenyih around 830 am and decided to have breakfast first, yeah, we're not the type that goes up the hill to watch the sunrise or whatsoever,so we went a bit late, plus the weather was a bit cloudy (a blessing for us), just pure "I HAVE CONQUERED BROGA" kinda spirit. Roti canai and Teh Tarik, classic.

As we passed by Broga, surely we would pass the uni that I used to study in before, how nostalgic. I miss those days. <333

Anyway, we had to pay RM3 for the parking fees, you know what, before going there, I've already read other blogs about Broga saying that it only costs RM2,so why the increase???!!! Answer: That's what living in Malaysia does to everyone nowadays *le sigh...

Oh yeah, so we started hiking around 915 am, and I've also read that it takes about 40 minutes to reach the first checkpoint so, this lowly subject estimated that it'll take her maybe about an hour cause, again, she's not fit at all. -.-

Spirits High
I think, I overestimated myself cause it's not only halfway through but god I was EXHAUSTED BEYOND BELIEF!! Like I was panting *if you can picture a dog during the hot weather with it's tongue sticking out, yeah, that's how I was and panting and keep on taking quick breaks. Lucky, my sis understands me, so love ya sis! haha, but really, I was pathetic. When we passed by people who are on their way down, we kept on asking, if it's near the top yet, again and again and again. That's how pathetic I was while Ida and Adik, well, normal breathing as if they're brisk walking and Ida even wore JEANS! Freaking JEANS going up there hah. I felt insulted when I think about it *lol joking joking only :D

Honestly, I think I nearly fainted, not exaggerating, I am not a healthy girl, mind you, even my Dr told me, someone who has this 'disease' (I'll put a mental note to write about it someday) can't do these type of restraining activities, but I guess, sometimes, just sometime, you just gotta go and do it. :D And Broga's a baby kinda type of hill for hikers *is what they said. How dare they deceive me! I was struggling like it's between life and death! T_T

I DIED

We didn't even reach the top, but there was this kinda steep track that's just like vertically maybe about 15 degrees, maybe am exaggerating but I don't even know already, the only thing on my mind is just to go up!I nearly went crazy! But finally! Finally!!!! Once we reached there, after an hour I think, I straightaway threw up! Yeap, literally, THREW UP, how embarrassing. Thank god there was nobody else cause we climbed around 9am right, so people already went down. Threw up, hahaha, yeah it's silly even when I think about it. I died for awhile *as you can see in the picture above.

Nevertheless, the view was stunning. Not much to say about it. Come up here and see for yourself.

So, I can partially say 'I CONQUERED BROGA'?! *hahahahahaha

I partially CONQUERED BROGA?

I can't say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED yet, I'll come again and conquer it for real, even if I threw up again, I don't mind LOL

And that is the story of how this lowly subject 'partially conquered Broga' haha :D

GOOD VIBES, ALWAYS

p/s: I think I did really well for an amateur hiker with poor health hohoho
